31 October 2002: European branding consulting firm, VentureRepublic, today announced its entry into Asia and the moving of its global headquarters from Copenhagen, Denmark to Singapore. The move is part of the firm's strategy to help Asian companies internationalise their brands.
VentureRepublic's founder and CEO, Martin Roll said that the Singapore headquarters serves as a springboard for the firm to service businesses throughout the region. Together with its office in Copenhagen, the firm also provides Asian and European companies the platform to realise business value through a strategic branding approach.
"There is a serious lack of professional brand knowledge and skill-set within companies, particular those in Asia, to enhance their corporate and product brands. Many of these companies have been passive in their branding efforts. We want to help companies get a fresh perspective on international branding and its direct contribution to commercial opportunities and profitability." said Roll.
Venturerepublic creates brand value
VentureRepublic's unique brand of consulting is developed specifically to sustain branding value embedded in organizations. It combines the firm's strength to engage a client's boardroom, employees and business associates with strategy-driven and market-centric programs to maximize commercial benefits.
"There is an increasing focus on marketing and branding, and the important influence from these competencies on a company's competitive strength and financial performance. While more companies are acknowledging the potential for growth through marketing and branding, many are insufficiently equipped.
"Many corporate leaders still perceive branding as primarily related to corporate identity and advertising dollars. This is not accurate. Branding relates directly to business strategy and will become an integrated part of corporate management. Branding is now a crucial success factor for companies who want to create a long term competitive edge internationally," said Roll.
International partnerships and business expansion
VentureRepublic has put in plans to establish a network of partners in Asia. These partners include management consultancies, human resource development firms, venture capitalists, research firms, advertising and public relations agencies. Collectively, the network will provide combined expertise and local knowledge for companies to enhance their business fundamentals for future business growth and financial profitability.
VentureRepublic also intends to set up more offices in Asia by end of 2003, as part of its plans to strengthen its position in the region. The firm sees commercial potential in Southeast Asia, and in countries such as Korea and Hong Kong. VentureRepublic will be exploring opportunities, including partnerships to expand into these markets.
